Welcome To St. Michael's!

St. Michael's is a lively and inclusive congregation, a congregation of prayer, celebration and ministry--and a beautiful place to sit by the lake and give thanks to God.

St. Michael's has always been centered around our understanding of ministry. We don't have a big marquee in front of our church that says: "Minister: The Rev. Ed Wills." Instead, we all consider ourselves ministers of St. Michael's. Rather than ministry being "done" by the clergy, we understand that the ministers of St. Michael's are the baptized.

By ministry we mean sharing in God’s work of reconciliation. As the Apostle Paul writes, “in Christ, God was reconciling the world to God’s self, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us.” We understand this to mean that all are forgiven and that all are reconciled and being reconciled. All human beings regardless of race, gender, creed, sexual orientation or any other “dividing wall” belong to God and belong to one another. We practice this belonging by welcoming all in Sunday worship and in our daily worship and ministry throughout the week.

Jesus invited his first followers to "Come and see." If you are looking for a spiritual home, we invite you to "come and see" how St. Michael's is doing God's work in God’s world.
